Thankful
Last year, the highlight of Thanksgiving was an adorable photo of Mom, my sister-in-law's mother, and my aunt crowded onto a reclining loveseat, feet in the air, surprised grins on their faces. This year, two of those remarkable women are gone, and the other was on the injured list with a broken shoulder, unable to make the celebration.
It's been a tough year with a lot of a changes, but we gathered together, shared our memories, stuffed our faces, and talked long into the early evening. It's comforting to know that family continues, and continues strongly.
And for that, I am truly thankful.
